This is what you need to know:
Thunderclap will upload our message onto your Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr feed – whichever you allow them to. They won’t post anything else and they won’t spam your friends.
The tag lines of the tech giants say it all. Each one of us has been trained by the hype of brand advertising and new gadgets to willingly give away our data for their profit. Now, it’s time to stand up, have our voices heard and our votes counted by powerful corporations! It’s the crowd campaign where the citizens get to decide.
Have you joined our online flashmob? Check out Thunderclap and be a part of something huge! Not only is it going to get our voices heard, but together we will set a path for the future and change the law. When you take part of our online flash mob, you will be standing up to your fundamental right for privacy.
Let’s get the message out through social media at the same time, worldwide at 2pm CET on March 16th, 2015.

This is our post:
“We’re 100% tracked, predicted and sold. It’s time to #freeyourdata and take back control. Join #Protonet’s campaign”
The Nitty Gritty
To take part you need to agree to let Thunderclap access either your Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr account. They will ask to access your friends list on that account – but it’s nothing fancy, it’s just so we know how far our message has spread, then we can share that information with you. We won’t have access to your contact details, and we won’t keep your details If we want to change the future for the better, it is important for us to know how much impact and reach the video will have. And before you start saying that this is exactly what we are campaigning against there is something you need to know… If you decide that you don’t want to be a part of our campaign anymore you can always opt out and you can definitely delete your account and all of your data after the flash mob!
